Challenge Details

Challenge Overview

The City of Houston's Sustainability Challenge is designed to help businesses and buildings reduce energy, water, and waste through friendly competition. Join the Challenge to demonstrate environmental leadership by helping make Houston an even better place to live and work – while encouraging colleagues and peers to do the same.

How it Works

The Challenge is divided into two separate competitions

  1. For businesses
  2. For building owners & managers

Each Challenge program features Activities across categories that include

  • Energy
  • Water Conservation
  • Materials & Waste
  • Transportation
  • Education & Outreach
  • Interiors, Exteriors, & Purchasing
  • Innovation

Earn points and move up the Leaderboard by completing Activities. Compare progress to peers, socialize success, and earn recognition along the way. Win the Challenge by scoring the most points between October 1, 2016 to December 12, 2016.
